Evo all day long. I couldn't care less about drag-racing- I want a car that's fun in the twisties as well as the straights, no matter what season.

Though I'd sure as hell get rid of that shifter. That thing is monstrously tall.

Judging by your reply and your name, I'm guessing you like drag racing, lol.

Different strokes for different folk, man.

Leme lay some knowledge on yall .. If your from lets say Texas .. like me .. Then theres nothing but straight lines there for the funnest type of racing / driving you can do besides half ass drifting in a parking lot illegally would be drag racing .. Now lets say I'm from Maryland or California I would probably being more into turning .. you know right and left .. Different strokes for different parts of the country were all car guys ...

What is with all the defensive replies? I never knocked drag racing- I just said I don't care about it, ie. it's not my cup of tea. I never discredited it or disrespected it. Anybody who thinks I did needs to re-read my comment and check their insecurities at the door. And their grammar...

Also, just for the sake of the dropping of knowledge, I actually used to live in Texas- Austin, to be exact. Austin proves that there are plenty of hills and windier roads in parts of Texas to go along with the miles and miles of straight-edge highways up north and out west. I can understand people from the Great Plains and Southwest regions being into straight-line speed and I say more power to them. But the question was "Which Would You Rather?", and in my case, living in South Carolina in the mountains, I would rather the Evo.

I have said it before and I will say it again. I miss my Evo 8 everyday; especially when it snows. There are three cars I really miss that I have owned and the Evo is tied for tops with the B7 S4.

AWD and lot's of powah!!!

I agree with you , I work in lakeway which is in the hills of Austin , but was born and raised in Fort Worth aka land of the straight flat ground ..

I'd still end up taking the cobra if it still has its IRS if its a live axle cobra I'd be going with the Evo didnt mean to jump down your neck there man .. my bad.

It's cool man, no problem. And yeah, if you lived in Forth Worth, I totally wouldn't blame you for picking the Cobra, especially if it has the IRS.

I grew up drag racing so its where my heart is at , that being said .. I took the datassun to a rally cross race a won my very first one so turning is pretty fun not to mention the turns over here by my work in west Austin are epic ..

Oh? What kind of Datsun do you have?

Around here drag racing and oval dirt track are really popular on a large scale, but there's a lot of us who take weekend drives into the mountains to tear it up, as the nearest actual road course is in Atlanta. Whenever I mention that I'm not into drag racing or oval racing, the locals around here generally look at my like I'm missing half my face, lol.

I really wish they held local rallycross events around here. There is the occasional autocross, but that's about it. Oh well...at least I always have the mountains , haha.

Mines a 280z stock motor with stiffer lowering springs and 5 way adjustable shocks .. I've made the run from the oasis up to cedar park and the car really shits and gets in the turns .. now once I have my ls swap parts I'll be able to shit and get in a straight line too !

Color me jealous, haha.

What does the LS swap weigh in comparison to the stock motor?

Actually these are two cars I equally desire, that's why I ask the question. My enthusiasm for sports cars is not bound by brand or purpose... unless of course they're wrong wheel drive.
